چکیده

The mode of action of cryomycin upon Staphylococcus aureus IFO 3061 and Bacillus subtilis IFO 3037 has been investigated. Cryomycin inhibited the syntheses of protein, RNAand DNAto almost the same degree. It caused a rapid increase of endogenous and exogenous respiration in the test organisms at minimumgrowth inhibitory concentrations. It was concluded that the primary effect of cryomycin was on the coupling of oxidative phosphorylation followed by secondary effects such as membranedamage, and protein and nucleic acid syntheses. Cryomycin also caused the leakage of A26om âbsorbing materials from most of the Bacillus species.

Neuro-fuzzy Sliding Mode Controller Based on a Brushless Doubly Fed Induction Generator

The combination of neural networks and fuzzy controllers is considered as the most efficient approach for different functions approximation, and indicates their ability to control nonlinear dynamical systems. This paper presents a hybrid control strategy called Neuro-Fuzzy Sliding Mode Control (NFSMC) based on the Brushless Doubly fed Induction Generator (BDFIG). This replaces the sliding surfa...

Effects of Cryptolepine, 2, 7, dibromocryptolepine and standard drugs on hemoglobin accumulation in cultured Malaria parasites

Cryptolepine is the major alkaloidal constituent of the West African climbing shrub Cryptolepis sanguinolenta, a species used in traditional medicine for the treatment of malaria and a number of other infectious diseases. Cryptolepine and a number of its synthetic analogues have been shown to have potent antiplasmodial activities using P. falciparum lactate dehydrogenase assay (PfLDH). Intraery...

M-81, a new peptide antibiotic produced by Streptomyces griseus subsp. Psychrophilus at moderate temperature.

M-81, a new water-soluble basic peptide antibiotic, was isolated from the culture filtrate of Streptomyces griseus subsp. psychrophilus AKU 2881, which produces cryomycin only at low temperatures. M-81 was produced at 20-37°C, but not below 20 C. M-81 was active against some Gram-positive bacteria. Its antimicrobial spectrum is more limited than those of cryomycin. It darkens at 208°-213°C with...
